Android 3.0 Honeycomb is available again

A few days ago, Google released a preview version of their tablet O/S Android 3.0 Honeycomb for download.

Just as quickly as it was announced, so too was it removed from Google’s server with no explanation as to why. A few lucky people saw it just in time to download the android-3.0_pre_r01-linux.zip installation file. For those who were unable to download it in time, they had to resort to searching around various torrent and download sites – often with mixed results.

So anyway, in order to cut a long story short, the link to the file is available again. So you can either fire up the Android SDK and install it through there, or you can follow the instructions and install it manually by following the instructions in my blog post Installing Android 3.0 Honeycomb Preview SDK with SSL error work around Have fun with it.

Oh and by the way, if you would like to see some Android Honeycomb screen grabs, you can check them out here
