Here are some images from the second night of my jewellery design class. I had a lot of fun this night and we learnt some very useful and interesting techniques.
We started by making fat wire thin, though I’m sure there’s a more technical term for this – I do believe “drawing down the wire” may have been used.
We also created chain loops from wrapping the wire around a piece of wood and cutting into it. Using pliers we then started creating different loops and shapes with the wire.
As you can see, my jewellery lingo isn’t quite there yet, but that’s why going to class is useful. I’m having a lot of fun so far.
