About two and a half years ago and on a day of no particular importance, I got into work early one morning. With a bit of time to kill, I fired up Adobe Illustrator CS3 and decided to draw something. The first thing that popped into my head was a tick and a cross icon. So, I spent around 5-10mins drawing a red cross and a green tick. They were quite basic icons, but effective. I uploaded the final drawing to iStockphoto and this icon set has been selling steadily ever since.

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of creative, urban art. So, it is with a keen eye that I keep tabs on the wonderful imagery that springs up around the dark alleyways of Melbourne. I don’t know who created these pieces of art, but I know what I like. So it is with great pleasure for me to share the following works of graffiti street art with you.

In my usual wanderings around town – which normally involves traipsing through various dark alleyways – I like to keep a beady little eye out for street art and graffiti which I perceive to be of quality.
It just so happened the other day when I was walking through a street, I stumbled across a series of skulls pasted to the wall. I loved these skulls so much I took photos on my phone (HTC Desire) and decided to share them with you.

He’s sitting on my desktop at home

Well, it’s a sunny day outside, but I am inside working on a male human character in 3D. Just thought I’d upload a snapshot of how it’s coming along. Hopefully I’ll get around to finishing him soon.
