I don’t like Facebook Pages and Timelines. There, I’ve said it.
Why you ask? Well, probably for a few reasons. I believe it achieves it’s main task quite well – which is the ability to read and write posts and interact with your followers – but the minute you try to do anything else, is the minute it starts to get a little clunky and unintuitive. I find it difficult to read the timeline. Sometimes things are on the left, sometimes they’re on the right. Are they in sequential order or not? For me, the list goes on. UX Australia is a user experience conference that goes for 4 days with two days of workshops and two days of presentations held by industry professionals. The conference encourages participation and discussion amongst attendees and aims to provide the most cutting edge information in the UX industry.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the experience of using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX

About two and a half years ago and on a day of no particular importance, I got into work early one morning. With a bit of time to kill, I fired up Adobe Illustrator CS3 and decided to draw something. The first thing that popped into my head was a tick and a cross icon. So, I spent around 5-10mins drawing a red cross and a green tick. They were quite basic icons, but effective. I uploaded the final drawing to iStockphoto and this icon set has been selling steadily ever since.
