Multimedia
I’ve always had a fascination with moving images and sound. Right from a very early age, I was exposed to the classics such as Disney and Warner Brothers animations. I even saw a documentary once that had footage of Walt Disney drawing Mickey Mouse. I watched as a pen turned a blank piece of paper into a classic character. Pure imagination! From then on I became addicted.
As I grew up, the more I absorbed. I marvelled at the brilliant and amazing stop motion techniques of Ray Harryhausen. I woke up early to watch the Saturday morning cartoons. I made sure I was home by 6pm to watch Dragonball Z on Foxtel. Then actively pursuing other Anime classics of Ghost in the Machine, Ninja scroll, Neon Genesis Evangelion and more. I suppose this is one of the reasons why I ended up going down the animation path myself.
Walking Dude
This is a walk cycle of a Cyclops that I made in 3D Studio Max circa 2007
Boost Boy
Back in the day, I used to work in a call centre. They had a mascot who was called Boost Boy. I seem to remember Boost Boy was originally a low resolution pixelated character. An opportunity arose where the call centre entered a competition and they wanted to somehow incorporate Boost Boy into the entry. I put up my hand and volunteered to bring Boost Boy to life. This animation is the result. Circa 2005
